Life update: I’m looking for what’s next for me. Let’s talk!

For the last 15 years of my life, I’ve been living a dream I could have never predicted. I started out building a primary care practice to literally just get my first patient and, eventually, I ended up building services that are now responsible for managing hundreds of thousands of primary care patients for employees of companies like Apple, Facebook, Amazon, Microsoft, etc.. I’m so damn proud of what I’ve done so far and I want to leverage all I’ve learned to work with new people and new challenges.

That might mean continuing my efforts to make health care more online, accessible, and clear…or pursuing an entirely new direction. It might be co-founding a new company or just consulting for an established one or some other great idea you have that needs my skills and experience.

I’m looking to have tons and tons of conversations with lots of diverse people. In true entrepreneur style, I have no idea where my life is going and I couldn’t be more excited. I’m not in a hurry as I want to be passionate about the people I work with and the concepts we’re building. I’ve been working on a laundry list of ideas for the last year as I’ve been taking plenty of time off. So let’s talk and see where the conversation takes us!

But to put how you should think about me in perspective, here’s how I think about myself:

  • I’m a doctor trained in pediatrics, preventive medicine, and public health
  • I’m an ex-CEO entrepreneur who’s built companies that changed the conversation in the healthcare industry
  • I’m a Chief Product Officer-type (using this framework for the concept of “Product”)

And if you want to learn more about me, spend some time on this site or dive deep into my tweets. I’ve written thousands of posts over the years. One thing I’ve learned in my career is that every single good big thing that’s ever happened to me is because I’ve written something and it resonated with someone and we ended up doing something together. So, dive in, and if you like how I think, let’s chat.
