Since I’ve never had a traditional doctor’s office, I never had a place to display my med school diploma. So I decided to frame it and hang it in my living room. I found the frame in a local antique store this weekend. Since 1938, it displayed a Brooklyn Italian family’s photos. The glass is old and rippled and gorgeous. And now it’s got my diploma in it. Maybe in 70 years someone will find it in an antique store and make that frame their own.
