Watching good TV should be social.

I spent all day searching the internet for a bar showing Mad Men this evening. Ironically, I found one by walking around the neighborhood. “True Blood @ 9pm & Mad Men @ 10pm” was written on the sandwich board outside The Counting Room just around the corner from my apartment.

My mind’s a bit mushy due to the jetlag so I decided to go by myself and drink a glass or two of wine.

The place was comfortably packed. People laughed and ooh’ed when Don was Don. The bar was silent during the show but loud discussing the last 10 minutes when a commercial came on. We all watched together. And I met two new people who were standing next to me.

I don’t watch hardly any TV, but if TV was more like this evening, I’d be a regular.
