Congress is considering passing a Medicare-for-all plan. The plan stands little chance of passing. Most of the 253 insured Americans want to keep their existing policies, we tend to distrust government-run care. We don’t like radical change. Medicare has a poor cost–containment track record, and such a plan would worsen the physician shortage and bankrupt most hospitals.
