Awesome. This social network for connecting entrepreneurs with investors offers basic health insurance for its premium members (premium membership is $24.95 a month).
I was waiting for this to happen. It’s illegal to come together as a group for the sole purpose of obtaining health insurance. But it’s not illegal to come together for another reason (using the internet to do so) and then just so happen have the option to purchase health insurance.
Fascinating concept…social networks becoming pools for health insurance. It sure is a whole new world of stickin’ it to the man. Let’s create a social network for young, healthy people and have them all come together to talk about how awesome it is to be young and healthy! Oh, and by the way, you can also purchase health insurance through us at a tenth of the cost of going through one of those old, broken down brokers.
What if Facebook offered a whole slew of low cost insurance premiums to their members? Of course, premiums would be much lower because the average Facebook user is young and fairly healthy.
