The link is finally up…
The Hello Health team is presenting Hello Health at the Apple Store in Soho on Monday, November 3rd. If you are in town, stop by. You’ll hear all about where we’re going and what we’re doing. We’ll even tell you about the iPhone app we’re releasing in a few months…
I spoke at Brown University last night with students in their Entrepreneurship Program. Things went very well. It’s super nice to talk with young, aspiring minds.
I used a phrase last night we should be using repeatedly:
“We need quality medicine, not quantity medicine.”
Here is the video of my presentation at Pop!Tech.
It’s a tough world out there for doctors.
Just remember, the health insurance industry is the most profitable industry in America…even more so than the oil industry.
Doctors and patients are getting hit hard. And the entire industry that’s raking in the profits are laughing all the way to the bank.
This is a social, moral, and economic crisis that we’re hardly addressing as a society. But the unrest is starting to bubble up from the pits of every single exam room in America.
Stay tuned…Hello Health is expanding.
IMAGINE what would happen if we learned that a major business was wasting a third of its revenue by grossly overspending while rewarding poor quality and mistakes. Everyone from the company’s board members to its shareholders would be outraged. They would demand answers. And they would demand change.
There is, in fact, such a business: healthcare. It is an industry in which everyone has a stake – as a patient, a payer, or a provider. And yet the stakeholders have been alarmingly quiet on the issue of waste and inefficiency.
