I know this isn’t extremely profound thinking but Amazon would be in the perfect position to revolutionize the book industry. However, according to Steve Jobs “People don’t read books anymore!”
When I started my practice, I immediately had two book offers from two publishers who regularly populate the New York Times best seller list. I figured my story wasn’t yet that interesting and I had better things to do than write a book – like write my blog. I’m a physician and time is money. I don’t need to sell a few ten thousand books to justify personal success. I would rather tally up the number of visitors to my site at the end of the year and be happy knowing I’m not $10,000 richer and 500 hours in the hole.
