The speakers are polling the audience right now asking “What is the main factor that will drive change in the US Healthcare System?”

The number one response (31%) from the audience was “Payment Reform.”

I think they are yapping about changing payment from what we have today to either Pay 4 Performance or some other system that nobody has come up with just yet.  They’re now yapping about paying for a medical home.  

However, they don’t realize that without providing tools for doctors that will organize and facilitate the medical home AND get doctors to use these tools, YOU CAN’T HAVE PAYMENT REFORM!

Imagine the medical home concept run on paper.  Now imagine the blue hairs who are currently running things trying to learn how to use one of those crazy computer machines.
