The basics.

What are our basic human needs? Food. Water. Shelter. Some small amount of money. Relationships.  

It seems like today’s solutions are for problems that never meaningfully existed. Or maybe we’re creating the solutions for problems we’ve created? As simple humans with very few meaningful needs, our brains and our social needs don’t evolve nearly as fast as the solutions we’re creating. We should step back and focus on things that satisfy our basic human needs that have been neglected since before the age of “the internet is going to solve all our problems.” 

It just seems the things that people are most excited about on the internet today are sort of like this anti-cocaine commercial:

“I do coke so I can work longer, so I can earn more, so I can do more coke, so I can work longer, so I can earn more, so I can do more coke so I can work longer, so I can earn more, so I can do more coke…”
