After completing a residency in pediatrics and one in preventive medicine at Johns Hopkins, I started a practice for my neighborhood of Williamsburg, Brooklyn in September 2007. People would visit my website; see my Google calendar; choose a time and input their symptoms; my iphone would alert me; I would make a house call; they'd pay me via Paypal; and we'd follow up by email, IM, videochat, or in person.

  • I’m here in Cape Town, South Africa for Design Indaba. The speakers all went on a little sunset cruise down to the cape last night. It’s the tip of the earth…so beautiful. Afterwards, Michael Beirut, Bill Drenttel (who runs Winterhouse and Design Observer), and I went for sushi. Damn good times… Here’s a photo from the boat. Prior to leaving NYC, I had to make a decision about which camera to bring. I have the Canon 5D Mark II with a 50mm f1.2 L lens…it produces absolutely amazing photos. And I also have the iPhone 3GS. Since I never print photos from a trip and hate lugging around a massive, but beautiful camera, I opted for just the iPhone. Wise decision…
