Sadly someone jumped off the Verrazano Bridge yesterday. He survived the 228 foot fall and is currently listed in critical condition.  According to a landmark study called “Where are they now?” of attempted suicides at the Golden Gate Bridge:  Only 6% of people talked down from a jump went on to kill themselves According to the study’s author, “90 percent of them were having an acute temporary crisis; they passed through it and, coming out the other side, they got on with their lives.” Hang in there.
