After completing a residency in pediatrics and one in preventive medicine at Johns Hopkins, I started a practice for my neighborhood of Williamsburg, Brooklyn in September 2007. People would visit my website; see my Google calendar; choose a time and input their symptoms; my iphone would alert me; I would make a house call; they'd pay me via Paypal; and we'd follow up by email, IM, videochat, or in person.

  • soupsoup: funsize: It’s not even reflected on their site yet, but Zipcar’s app is here. Best feature: It can lock/unlock the doors. I wish it could replace my card entirely (which i can never seem to hang onto), but you still need to scan it at the beginning of each reservation. That said, I’m not great at hanging onto my phone either, so not sure an app could help that… This reminds me, I need to renew my drivers license so I can take advantage of this. I remember when they presented this at one of the Mac keynotes. Easily one of the coolest things about the iPhone right. My favorite applications these days are the ones getting you off the internet and actually doing stuff. Tools that encourage you to get offline.
