After completing a residency in pediatrics and one in preventive medicine at Johns Hopkins, I started a practice for my neighborhood of Williamsburg, Brooklyn in September 2007. People would visit my website; see my Google calendar; choose a time and input their symptoms; my iphone would alert me; I would make a house call; they'd pay me via Paypal; and we'd follow up by email, IM, videochat, or in person.

Fast Company calls me The Doctor of the Future. I've got a design and consulting firm called The Future Well. Read more about me here.

Help is a company focused on keeping healthcare pure and simple…and adding a little bit of fun to what’s always been such a miserable experience.
I meet with Richard, the founder of Help, on a fairly regular basis over a beer in Union Square to share stories, ideas, and keep each other up to date on Help and Hello Health. I know they’ll be successful. Take a walk through your local Walgreens to see their lame competition.
Healthcare can be redefined. All the people trying to redefine healthcare—we all know each other. The competition sucks. We’re all banding together to bring ya’ll something better. Experiences don’t have to be so generic and sterile. Healthcare can actually be pleasant…and affordable.
