Brooklyn doc talks about communication  →
I spoke at Brown University last night with students in their Entrepreneurship Program.  Things went very well.  It’s super nice to talk with young, aspiring minds. I used a phrase last night we should be using repeatedly: “We need quality medicine, not quantity medicine.”

Health Populi: Physician group practices' costs... →
It’s a tough world out there for doctors. Just remember, the health insurance industry is the most profitable industry in America…even more so than the oil industry. Telerays: Auctioning Medical Care →
Well isn’t that one of the greatest things to ever hit health care?  Thanks Josh! Reminds me of one of my favorite quotes: “Our parents killed bad ideas with music. We kill bad ideas with new business models.”

Just who are the uninsured? →
Super interesting article breaking stereotypes on the uninsured.  They’re young, wired, not poor, and independent.

I'm in the middle of nowhere.
I was invited to speak at an executive retreat in Keswick, VA for the leadership of Bon Secours Health System in Richmond, VA.  I was told it’s an older group (as are most of the leaders in health care) but they wanted to hear all about what this new internet thing is all about.  So I sent them some homework to do before my presentation tomorrow.  It was deliberately a link to a Google doc. ...
